The Jr. Brahmas shutout the Spirit 3-0

Mar 12, 2017

Tyler Myers posted a shutout, stopping all 30 of the College Station Spirit shots throughout the game. The Texas Jr. Brahmas took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Vincent Dekumbis and never looked back.

Bennett Weycker had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Dakota Davis chipped in with 2 assists.

In the first, Dekumbis opened the scoring for Texas with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:47 with a helper from his teammate Bersani.

In the third period, Weycker netted a goal at 3:45 with helpers from Davis and Peterson. Torgerson deposited a goal at 11:48 with assists from his linemates, Weycker and Davis.

The Jr. Brahmas’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Myers’ shutout, as he stopped all 30 of the shots he faced. Myers’ counterpart, Baker, also had a big night, managing to stop 42 of 45, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Texas Jr. Brahmas’ record to (74-18-2-0)
