In the first period, Redmon opened the scoring for Texas with a goal at 3:26 with helpers from his teammates Walsh and Bickford. Dekumbis deposited a goal at 7:36 with assists from Bickford and Bersani.
During the second, Udris finally put Point Mallard on the board with a goal at 10:33 with helpers from Trombly and Chun.
In the third period, Redmon answered for the Brahmas with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:00. Goodman answered for the Ducks with a goal at 17:45 with assists from Laplante and Polcaro.
Texas’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Murison’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 31 shots he faced. Murison’s counterpart, Bernardini, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Texas Brahmas’ record to (1-1-0-0).
