The Texas Brahmas' offense had a big night, peppering the Mid Cities Jr. Stars with 30 shots throughout the game. The Texas Brahmas took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Kyle Cote.
Bennett Weycker contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Kyle Cote delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first period, Koehn opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 0:24 with a helper from defenseman Harrison.
In the second, Weycker answered for the Brahmas with a goal at 3:04 with helpers from Croswell and Davis.
In the third, Cote deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:42 with assists from his teammates Weycker and Bombardir. Weycker quickly followed with a goal at 7:30 with helpers from Cote and Brown Iii. Brown Iii put in a goal at 16:40 with assists from Bersani and Croswell.
The Brahmas’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Murison as he stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced. Murison’s counterpart, Vanwinkle, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 30, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Texas Brahmas’ record to (36-6-0-0).
