Texas Tenders Torgerson from Allen

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas are pleased to announce that they have used their fifth tender to sign Allen Americans forward Kyle Torgerson. Torgerson (5/11, 160) becomes the third forward to sign a tender with Al Rooney's team this summer.

The Flower Mound native exploded for 29 points in 18 league games with the Americans, including scoring at a goal per game clip. The Brahmas are thrilled to retain another local player who can develop his game and grow as a player close to home.

"I'm thrilled to be able to include Kyle to our mix of forwards up front. I think he has the right mix of skill and tenacity that will allow him to fit seamlessly up and down the line-up," Head Coach Al Rooney said.

It was Brahmas U18 Head Coach Knute Anderson who first pointed Rooney in Torgerson's direction to bring on board for next season.

"He put some points up against our Brahmas U18 team and he really left an impression that he can play at the next level. After speaking with his coach and seeing plenty of game film on him, I have no doubt that Kyle will be able to contribute to our success," Rooney said.

The Brahmas currently have four tenders remaining as they continue to reload the roster for next season. The NA3HL Draft, a second way for the Brahmas to add players, takes place on June 16. Texas has ten draft picks over the course of eight rounds.
