Texas falls to Point Mallard in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Noah Gilreath gave the Point Mallard Ducks a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Texas Jr. Brahmas when he scored 4:14 into the extra period.

Point Mallard got the win on the strength of a great game by Justin Dunn, who had one goal and three assists. Dunn scored 14:26 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Grant Dukus assisted on the tally.

Point Mallard additionally got points from Jake Cox, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Dukus, who also had one goal and three assists.

Texas was helped by Sam Gagnon, who finished with one goal. Gagnon scored 14:02 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Texas. Paolo DiGenova picked up the assist. Texas also got points from Nick Nitta, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jon Severson also scored for Texas. More assists for Texas came via Devin Pierce, who had one and Kurt Thiele, who had two.

The Ducks\’ Billy Wager stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Point Mallard incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Quinton Reynolds rejected 24 shots on goal for the Jr. Brahmas. Texas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
