Texas Brahmas Enter Marathon Stretch of Games

Jan 20, 2022

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS–
The NORTH AMERICAN 3 HOCKEY LEAGUE (NA3HL) has announced the location and date for the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, which will be held from February 7-8, 2022 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex is the practice home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. Any number of players in the South Division will be happy to be offered the privilege of participating, however that path is for a few outstanding individuals. It is the entirety of the team with more pressing matters at this moment.

The Texas Brahmas lead the South Division by 2 team points over the Texas RoadRunners. There are only 21 games remaining in the regular season, therefore the race couldn’t be much tighter as the midway point of the season has passed. One game at a time, as they say. Focus on the present.

These Texas Brahmas are going to be very busy until the showcase begins with one game at a time, focused entirely upon the present moment. The Brahmas have a stout slate of games starting tonight at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, TX. Four games in four days (January 20, 21, 22, & 23, 2022) against the Louisiana Drillers is only the beginning of this marathon. The Brahmas will have a short opportunity to rest and prepare for the next leg of the run, which happens to be an additional four games over four days.

Friday January 28th, when the Texas Roadrunners arrive at the Shoebox for a three game series, will present the last opportunity for both teams to compete for points head to head in the regular season. Texas Brahmas took two of the three game series last week at the Spirit Ice Arena against the RoadRunners, bringing the team to a form of 6-4-0-0 in their most recent 10 games.

The very next day, the Louisiana Drillers return Monday January 31st for a newly rescheduled afternoon puck drop matinee. A cup of coffee later, on February 4th & 5th, The Mid Cities Junior Stars will play two games against the Brahmas, with the February 4th game playing at NYTEX Sports Centre at 7pm, and the February 5th game playing at the Junior Stars Barn at StarCenter-Euless.

That is 11 games in 17 days for your Texas Brahmas. At the end of that marathon run, there will be a mere 10 regular season games remaining. There is no disputing the importance of this stretch of games going into the Showcase, and the players on this talented Brahmas roster deserving of that opportunity. Of these 11 games being previewed before tonight’s 7:30pm CST puck drop, ten of them will be at the home barn and great seats are still available at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
