Texas beats Sugar Land 5-2 as Deacon gets hat trick

Sugar Land could not stop Texas\’ Chase Deacon, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Deacon got on the scoresheet 5:50 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:50 into the third and at 19:46 into the third.

Texas\’ penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Sugar Land power plays.

More assists for Texas came via Brock Brown, who had two and Bryan Whelan, Kyle Galloway, Bennett Weycker, and Zack Andersen, who contributed one each.
