May 28, 2019

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas are continuing the summer series of new player announcements. Last week, we introduced you to three of the nine newly drafted players. This week, we continue with three more of the new additions!

Head coach Ryan Anderson is confident that the newest members to the Texas Brahmas can step in and continue the momentum coming off a championship run with a talented group of players that no doubt have the ability to make an impact in the NAHL down the road.

“Coming to NYTEX to be part of the Texas Brahmas is an unparalleled experience in the NA3HL”, Anderson said. “These athletes have access to the same resources and coaches as the Lone Star Brahmas in the NAHL and can have everything they need to take the next step.”

Draft

Leevi Selänne – Forward, year: 2000 // Leevi joins the Brahmas after playing last year for Jokerit U18 in Finland. Before that, the Finnish forward played for the Anaheim Junior Ducks U18 scoring 20 points in 33 games. Selanne previously took part in the Brahmas main camp.

Anderson on Leevi: “Leevi is a dynamic skater who has proven to be a point producer and can be a great playmaker for this team.”

Tyler Kiley Ram – Forward, year: 2000 // Tyler was a draft pick last season for the Brahmas and comes from T1EHL where he spent the last two seasons with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes U18 team. This season Ram racked up 21 points in 30 games with 15 assists.

Anderson on Tyler: “He’s a fast skater with great playmaking ability. Tyler is going to set up a lot of opportunities for his teammates and has proven he can score when on the ice.”

Heath Drye – Forward, year: 2000 // Heath is a two-way forward who played last season with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies U18 in the HPHL and was coached by Brahmas scout, Shawn Sramek.

Anderson on Heath: “Heath is a great two-way guy for us at forward that takes his responsibility on defense seriously and can chip in on the offensive side of the ice allowing him to be an excellent fit with the Brahmas.”
