Pair of 7s Bring Brahmas Closer to South Title

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas hosted the College Station Spirit for their final home stand this past weekend. Taking both games 7-0, the Brahmas are one step closer to winning the South Division. They are 33-8-1 with 67 points. Close behind them, the Atlanta Capitals have 63 points. Both teams have five games left to play before the title can be decided.

Friday’s win came with Samuel Solomon in net. His shut out included 15 saves. Spirit’s Ryan O’Toole had 39 saves and allowed goals from Jacob Peterson, Hunter Bersani (2), Kyle Torgerson, Dakota Davis (2) and Bennett Weycker. Three Stars of the game went to Bersani with 1st,  Kroon 2nd and Solomon 3rd.

Saturday’s win came with incredibly similar numbers. Texas net minder Anthony D’Aloisio also held down his shut out with 15 saves. Spirit’s goalie, Dalton Baker, have 41 saves. He gave up seven goals to Melker Kroon, Vincent Dekumbis, Jacob Peterson (2), Andrew Garcia, Dakota Davis and Bennett Weycker.  Three Stars were Jacob Peterson awarded first star D’Aloisio second and Garcia third.

With only five games left in the season the Brahmas will face Spirit for three of them. First they must face cross-town rivals, Euless Jr. Stars twice this weekend.  Games will be played March 3 at 8:00 pm and March 4 at 7:30 pm. Both at Dr. Pepper StarCenter.
