Galloway Next To Come To Brahmaland

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas have announced that forward Kyle Galloway ('97) has signed a contract to play in Brahmaland for the 2015-16 Season. Galloway, from Sugar Hill, GA was drafted by the Brahmas in the NA3HL Draft earlier this summer and is expected to be a big part of the Brahmas forward unit this coming season.

“I had seen Kyle in years past so he was on my radar prior to this off-season,” Head Coach Al Rooney said. “After drafting him he came out to Texas to participate in our Brahmas Open Camp and made an impression not only by scoring the nicest goal of the weekend, but his play away from the puck is what left the best impression with our staff. He’s going to provide some ability on both sides of the puck and give us depth of scoring which we lacked last season at times.”

Galloway (5’10”, 155) played U18 Midget AAA for the TPH Thunder last season in the Tier I Elite League, where he scored seven points in 24 games of regular season action. He also helped his team qualify to play in the USA Hockey U18 Nationals last season, gaining some valuable playoff experience along the way.

“Kyle will be a key addition for us up front in that I think he has the ability to grow into an offensive role for us as he gains experience in the Junior ranks, but will already be able to fill a defensive forward role for us and penalty kill,” Rooney said. “You need various pieces of the puzzle to win games and Kyle will be a big piece of having a winning season this year.”

There are now 14 players signed to play for the Brahmas for the coming NA3HL season. It’s expected to grow as several more players will look to be added after completion of the Brahmas NAHL Main Camp when it’s held in Detroit from July 23rd to the 26th. The NA3HL Training Camp will kick off in Mid-August as the Brahmas prepare for the NA3HL season in their quest for the Silver Cup Championship.
