NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS — The Texas Brahmas continue to climb the ladder of development, as defenseman and alternate captain Ian Erdman was called up to the Lone Star Brahmas in the North American Hockey League, head coach Ryan Anderson announced Friday.

The 2020-21 season is Erdman’s third season in the NA3HL with the Texas Brahmas, with his veteran status earning the title of alternate captain of the squad. In 105 games played, Erdman has tallied 44 points (15g-29a). This is not the skater’s first game in the NAHL however; the Flower Mound, Texas native laced up for one game during the 2019-20 season for the Springfield Jr. Blues.

“We are incredibly proud of Ian and his call up to Lone Star,” said head coach of the Texas Brahmas, Ryan Anderson. “Ian is a leader on and off the ice, with the skills to be successful in any offensive and defensive situation. He has proven to have the power, character and skill it takes to play at the North American League level. We wish him the best in the upcoming games.”

The Lone Star Brahmas take on the Odessa Jackalopes tonight and tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. CST in Odessa, Texas. Both games are available to stream on HockeyTV.com.
