Dakota Davis Headed to Brahmaland

Apr 24, 2015

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas are pleased to announce the addition of forward Dakota Davis to the 2015 Brahmas. Davis (5/8, 165) becomes the sixth skater to sign a tender with the Brahmas this off-season.

The Franklin, Tennessee native skated for Centennial High School this past season and most of his life he's played AAA hockey for the TPH Thunder. Head coach Al Rooney is excited to have the chance to add a skilled forward to the mix up front.

"Dakota doesn't posess a lot of size, but he makes up for it with speed, skill, and smarts," Rooney said. "I've known about Dakota for several years. I coached against him in previous years and know what he brings to the table. I expect him to be a big contributor to us on the scoreboard this year."

It was Brahmas player Devin Pierce who put Rooney and Davis in touch with one another as Pierce and Davis have been friends and teammates for years.

"With Pierce tendered with our NA team and expected to play there, it will be nice to have those two be able to play in the same organization again. Davis will already have that comfort factor when he arrives in Brahmaland." Rooney said.

The Brahmas currently have three tenders remaining as they continue to reload the roster for next season. The NA3HL Draft, a second way for the Brahmas to add players, takes place on June 16. Texas has ten draft picks over the course of eight rounds.
