College commitment: DiTullio commits to Aquinas College

Jun 8, 2021

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS — Texas Brahmas forward Shane DiTullio has committed to play ACHA hockey at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich.

“I am extremely honored and proud to announce my commitment to Aquinas College to continue and further develop my academic and athletic career,” said DiTullio, regarding his commitment. “This would not have been possible without the help of my teammates and coaches over the years, of which there are too many to name. I would not have made it this far without every single one of you, and I deeply appreciate it. I’m beyond excited to get started. Go Saints! ”

The captain of the 2020-21 Texas Brahmas, Shane DiTullio is a three-season veteran of the team, playing in 115 games and totaling 29 points (3g-26a) in his NA3HL career. The skater was also on the winning Fraser Cup championship team in 2019. He ended his tenure on the Brahmas with a +32 rating, certifying his status as a known playmaker on the ice. DiTullio also played in the North American Prospects Hockey League 16U and 18U AAA levels, suiting up for the HC Dallas and Dallas Blackhawks programs.

“Shane has been the ultimate team guy for our team for the last 3 seasons.  He was an easy choice to be made our captain this year and his ability to lead on and off the ice has earned him the opportunity to play ACHA hockey for Aquinas.  The Saints are getting a player that will show up every single day with an elite compete level and great attitude.  I am very happy for Shane to be able to continue his education and also be able to continue to play hockey.  Shane will forever be a treasured part of our Brahma family and we will miss having him in NYTEX every day.  I look forward to watching his continued success in the classroom and on the ice at Aquinas! ”

DiTullio joins four other Brahmas to make college commitments this season: Leevi Selänne (Curry College) and Ian Erdman (Saint Mary’s), Jack Cooper (King’s College) and Tyler Blanchard (King’s College). Aquinas College plays in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
