Brahmas Trade Grimm To Hometown Team

Apr 9, 2015

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas have announced that they have completed a trade with South Division expansion club the Evansville Thunderbolts today.

The Brahmas sent forward Jon Grimm (96) to Evansville in exchange for their 2nd round draft pick in the upcoming NA3HL Draft in June. Grimm, who hails from Evansville, appeared in 43 games for the Brahmas last season, notching six goals and 18 points all while playing wing. He also scored four points in four playoff games for the Brahmas, as he really came on late in the season for Texas.

"Jon quietly went about his business this season and developed into quite a player", Head Coach Al Rooney said. "He's a low maintenance player, has good hands and was projected to be amongst our top six forwards this coming season. We're sorry to see him go, but with that said, we wanted to allow Jon the chance to play in his hometown in front of his family. I feel we got good value in return and allows us some freedom to move some pieces around on our draft board."

The NA3HL Draft will take place on Tuesday, June 16th and it will last eight rounds. With this completed transaction, coupled with trades made earlier this season, the Brahmas now have ten selections to choose players that they have been scouting from Midget hockey and other Junior leagues throughout the country.
