Brahmas & IceWolves Advance to South Division Finals!

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX–

The Texas Brahmas and the New Mexico Ice Wolves have punched their tickets to the South Division finals in pursuit of the 2023 Fraser Cup. The first two games will be played at the Brahmas home barn “The Shoebox” aka the Main Arena at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The third game will be played in ABQ at the Outpost Ice Arenas. The winner of the South Division finals will advance to a berth in the Fraser Cup Tournament to be held in St. Peters, MO starting March 22nd and crowning the champion on March 26th.

SOUTH DIVISION FINALS GAME SCHEDULE:

GAME 1 – March 16, 2023 – 7:30pm Central – NYTEX Sports Centre

GAME 2 – March 17, 2023 – 2:00pm Central – NYTEX Sports Centre

GAME 3* – March 19, 2023 – 4:00pm Mountain – Outpost Ice Arenas

As both franchises maintain teams in the NAHL as well as the NA3HL, fans of both franchises will be treated to a coincidence in which all four teams are to converge upon NRH this week. The NA3HL teams will be the marquis matchup for the Thursday evening primetime event, a 7:30pm Central puck drop, which will be live-streaming on HockeyTV, the exclusive home of the NA3HL Fraser Cup playoffs and tournament. On Friday March 17th, hockey fans will enjoy the luck of St. Patrick’s Day and celebrate such fortuity with a double header of Brahmas vs IceWolves – NA3HL teams at 2pm followed by the marquis primetime matchup of the NAHL teams at 7:30pm.

MORE ABOUT THE FRASER CUP

The five divisional playoff champions and one wild card team will advance to the NA3HL Fraser Cup Championship Tournament, where they will play a two-game round-robin format followed by a semi-final and a championship game at the St. Peters Rec-Plex in St. Peters, MO from March 22-26.

A round-robin format with two pools will be implemented, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the Semi-Finals, where they will then cross over to play the other top two teams from the other pool. The winners of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Fraser Cup Championship Game.
