NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX- The fifth place Louisiana Drillers come to Texas to face-off against the first place Texas Brahmas this weekend. The last time these two teams matched-up was a weekend series in October. Both games ended in the Brahmas favor in Lafayette, Louisiana. Brahmas will have to keep rookie and Anchorage native Brandon Vukasin, at bay as he is the Drillers leading scorer. He also scored one of the two goals the Drillers were able to put past Brahma’s goalie, Samuel Solomon, on October 23rd.
Brahma’s leading scorers, Kyle Torgerson and Melker Kroon, and the Brahmas offense will most likely be facing Drillers goalie, Kevin Lake. Lake started the season with the St. Louis Jr. Blues and went to Louisiana after just two games. He received an Honorable mention earlier this month with the NA3HL’s Stars of the Week and was in net for both games against the Brahmas in October.
Both games this weekend will be played at NYTEX Sports Centre. Saturday puck drops at 7:35pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:05pm.
