Feb 9, 2022

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS — The Texas Brahmas head into an important series in El Paso this weekend under the direction of new Head Coach Nicholas Cammarata.

“I’m excited to be here,” said Cammarata. “This program has a long tradition of winning, while also getting players prepared for the next level. I’m very proud to be a Brahma and thankful to the organization, as well as Frank, Sal, Knute & Dan for allowing me this opportunity. Everyone has welcomed me to the family from the very first meeting.”

Coach Cammarata arrives from the Vernal Oilers Jr. A Program of the Can-Am Junior Hockey League. He possesses an experienced hockey background including serving as captain of the NCAA DI Merrimack Warriors, where he played from 1999-2003.

“We are extremely excited to bring such a decorated and dedicated coach to the team,” said Chad Siewert, President of the Jr. Brahmas. “Nick’s passion and enthusiasm for the game is contagious, he brings a fresh new energy that the boys will absolutely love.”

Coach Cammarata hit the ground running upon arrival in North Richland Hills, leading players in high-intensity practices, meetings and video sessions. He will be joined by Assistant Coach DJ Graham on the bench this weekend as the Brahmas chase their eighth consecutive NA3HL South Division regular-season title. Face-off against the Rhinos is at 7:00 p.m. MST on Thursday, Friday & Saturday this weekend. All games will be available on HockeyTV.
