NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX-

Andrue Trelstad, a 21 year old Forward from Chisago City, MN has committed to play NCAA Div3 Hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Now finishing his second season with the NA3HL Texas Junior Brahmas, Trelstad’s performance has been integral to the success of this remarkable team. “I’m excited for this opportunity at Stout. Close to home, good education, and arguably the best conference in Division 3 hockey.”

Brahmas Head Coach Ryan Anderson has the strongest of praise for Trelstad, “I could not be more excited or honored for Andrue Trelstad to announce his commitment to UW-Stout. He has been a vital and productive member our organization for the past two seasons. He has worked extremely hard on and off the ice to earn this opportunity. Getting to know and help Trels has been one of the great honors of my coaching career. He will leave an irreplaceable hole in our organization due to not only his play on the ice but how he conducted himself off the ice. I fully expect him to leave a positive impact on the Stout hockey program after his 4 years are completed”

Trels was equally positive about this experience gained with the Brahmas. Said Trelstad, “I’d like to thank Coach Anderson and Coach Monsef for all the hard work and time they’ve put this season. Also, big thanks to all the guys on the team for pushing me to be better. I wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for all the great people within the Brahmas organization.”

Amidst the all-due accolades of a records-breaking regular season for the Brahmas, good news keeps popping up around the team as they prepare for this postseason. Playoffs are a familiar business at the Brahmas home arena called the “Shoebox” at NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, TX. After all, this team is defending the Frazier Cup and thus the motto-turned-hashtag #WeAreTheHunted is woven into the very fabric of this team. Still, the mission critical of Junior Hockey itself is to develop elite players with strong character for a bright future on the next level – NCAA Hockey.
