Three Keys to Halloweekend

Oct 29, 2015

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – Tomorrow night the Texas Brahmas return to NYTEX Sports Centre after two road trips and an off weekend.  The Euless Jr. Stars are this weekend’s opponent and here are your “Three Keys”.

1) Stay Hot

The Brahmas enter the weekend with a five game winning streak, which includes sweeps over Sugar Land and this very same Euless squad.  During the stretch the team has allowed just eight goals in five games, thanks largely to the backstopping of Brandon Perrone and Tyler Myers.

Additionally, the offense is average just under five goals per game during the five games.  Mykyta Sheptytsky, Ryan Dunner and George Hansen all have nine points in the five most recent contests and will look to add to that total this weekend.

2) Remain Disciplined

Texas, the least penalized team in the entire league has limited their trips to the box to under nine minutes a game.  This is so important because Euless is averaging nearly double that amount, and the Brahmas will look to cash in on every opportunity they are given without handing any in return.

Even when the boys are in the sin bin their penalty kill ranks 10th, killing off 86% of infractions.

3) Sean McAndrews

Acquired from Alexandria on Wednesday, the defenseman is anticipated to be in the lineup this weekend.  It will be his first game in a Brahmas sweater and many are excited to see what the new face will provide to the Texas Blue line.

He’ll be wearing #2 for coach Al Rooney’s team.

Both games this weekend are free admission, so come on out to NYTEX Sports Centre!  Puck drop is scheduled for 7:35 on Friday and Saturday!
