The Brahmas shutout the Jr. Stars 5-0

Mar 10, 2018

Tyler Myers posted a shutout, stopping all 28 of the Mid Cities Jr. Stars shots throughout the game. The Texas Brahmas took the lead early in the first on a goal from Luke Bombardir and never looked back.

Luke Bombardir chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Kyle Cote had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 assists.

In the first, Bombardir opened the scoring for Texas with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:18 with helpers from teammates Cote and Trazzera. Dekumbis quickly followed with a goal at 1:57 with a helper from fellow Brahmas forward Bersani. Weycker netted a goal at 7:00 with an assist from Cote. Ireland scored a goal at 18:45 with a helper from his linemate Norris.

During the third, Sykes deposited a goal at 15:16 with assists from Cote and Bombardir.

Texas’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Myers’ shutout, as he stopped all 28 of the shots he faced. On the other hand, Myers’ counterpart, Vanwinkle, and Mid Cities’ defense has had better outings stopping only 4 of 7 shots.

This win brings the Texas Brahmas’ record to (40-6-0-0).
