Texas hangs on, beats Dallas 2-0

Ryan Dunner gave the Texas Jr. Brahmas the lead in the first period, and the Dallas Jr. Stars was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-0.

Texas took over the lead for good with a goal by Dunner at 4:54 in the first period. Nick Nitta provided the assist.

The Jr. Brahmas were paced by Dunner, who finished with one goal.

Anthony Koslow also scored for Texas. In addition, Texas received assists from John Severson, Paolo DiGenova, and Mykyta Sheptytsky, who contributed one each.

Dallas was held below its usual level of production. The Jr. Stars average 3.3 goals per game.

Quinton Reynolds recorded 23 saves for Texas. The Jr. Brahmas incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Chris Mallon rejected 23 shots on goal for Dallas. The Jr. Stars incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
