Playoff Bound

Jan 2, 2016

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Brahmas clinched a playoff birth on Sunday with a 5-0 victory over the Louisiana Drillers.

Period one was a tight one and neither side recorded a goal despite a plethora of chances for both teams.

Minutes 20-40 were a bit different, however, with Ryan Dunner striking twice; two of his four points on the afternoon.  His third point came later in the frame when he hooked up with linemate Bryan Whelan who then beat Logan Quebedeaux top shelf to extend the lead to three.

After the second break the offense continued to roll, courtesy of Kyle Galloway and Brock Brown.  Galloway’s goal came from a one-timer in the slot and Brown recorded his second of the season on a 5-on-3.

Behind the action Tyler Myers recorded his fourth shutout of the season, turning aside all 18 shots faced.

The two teams will wrap up their series tomorrow at 2:05 at NYTEX Sports Centre.  The game is free admission so come check it out!
