Nashville rips Texas, 4-0

The Texas Jr. Brahmas had trouble finding ways to stop the Nashville Jr. Predators, which beat Jr. Brahmas, 4-0.

Nashville was paced by Nick Mammel, who finished with one goal. Mammel scored 4:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nashville. Topi Samuli Aheristo assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Predators stifled Texas\’ power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Nashville\’s offense rang up 31 shots on the Jr. Brahmas\’ net.

Others who scored for Nashville included Ben Falk, Jacob Elrod, and Jon Severson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Nashville were Matiss Gelazis, who had three and Noah Keener, Nickolas Tandeski, Trent Kulczyk, and Kyle Van Wyk, who each chipped in one.

Texas was held below its usual level of production. The Jr. Brahmas put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Evan Cline rejected 19 shots on goal for the Jr. Predators. Nashville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joe Hacker made 27 saves for Texas on 31 shots. The Jr. Brahmas totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play.
