NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas have announced the signing of Goaltender Tyler Myers (98), from Thornton, Colorado. Myers participated in the Brahmas Open Camp tryout last weekend and showed he was more than capable of making the jump to the NA3HL at his age. Myers had been on the Brahmas NA3 radar throughout the spring based on scouting recommendations, and now is officially with the team.

“I was looking forward to seeing him in camp and he did not disappoint”, said Head Coach Al Rooney. “He handled himself well, showed maturity on and off the ice, has good size to go along with excellent structure and mobility. I think he will certainly be part of a great tandem for us this coming season. He’s got all the tools.”

Myers (5’11”,175) appeared in 52 games last season for Hyland Hills (U16AA) in Colorado, turning in an impressive 34-8-8 record, while sporting a .932 save percentage. Now Tyler will spend his Senior year of High School living in Texas playing with the Brahmas trying to help lead them to a South Division title.

“We traded one of our goaltenders from last season and the other is not returning, so we will have 2 new faces in the net for the Brahmas this season”, added Rooney. “Tyler is a promising young goaltender and we look to develop him here with us in order to prepare him to make that next step in his career. I have no doubt that he will help this team take that next step.”
Myers is now the fifth official signing announced by the Brahmas this summer and we anticipate more announcements throughout the remainder of the week and summer.
