Embarrassed

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – After another inconsistent effort the Sugar Land Imperials made the Brahmas pay on Monday morning, scoring five unanswered goals to earn a 5-3 victory.

The Brahmas got off to one of their quickest starts of the season as Zack Andersen, Bryan Whelan and Victor Ekk all struck within the first 15 minutes, giving the team a 3-0 lead.  Sugar Land Head Coach Jarod Palmer resulted to yanking Ryan O’Toole and sent in Kevin Mackey in his replacement.

Palmer’s team responded immediately as Alex Norwinski crept into the slot and beat Brandon Perrone 21 seconds after the substitution.

An entirely different Texas team took the ice in the second and the only goal in minutes 20-40 came from Sunday’s game-winner, RC Randall.  Luca Valenza set the play up with finesse from behind the attacking goal line.

Momentum continued to favor the Imperials in the third as they came from being a goal down to knotting the tilt up urgently.  Valenza, the first star of the game, hammered a one timer from the circle into the net for yet another power play goal.

Two minutes later, Frank Muscarella scored arguably the most deserving goal of the game when he beat the Brahmas defense with a well-placed wrister from the point.

Jon Adnell recorded his 20th of the season into an empty net moments later to cap off the scoring at 5-3.

The loss is Brandon Perrone’s third of the season.
