Brahmas With Double Digit Goals

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – College Station Spirit goaltenders could not stop the Texas Brahmas this weekend in their 11-0 win at NYTEX Sports Centre.

The Brahmas came out strong with five goals in the first period. That was enough for Sprit Head Coach, Nick Bydal, to pull Ryan O’Toole from net.

The Second period Brahmas faced net minder, Dalton Baker. Baker seemed to be doing well compared to O’Toole only allowing one goal from Brahmas forward, Zak Albers.

The third period, however, turned our exactly like the first. With Baker still in net, the Brahmas put up another five goals. This sealed an 11-0 win and a shut out for Texas goalie, Samuel Solomon, who had 21 saves. Solomon earned first Star or the game, Dakota Davis earn second and Melker Kroon earned third.

Texas’ goals came from the sticks of Jacob Peterson, Vincent Dekumbis, Hunter Bersani (2), Niklas McCallum, Melker Kroon (2), Zak Albers, Arturo Garcia, Todd Luther and James Boisvert.

The Texas Brahmas are 24-7-0 and three points behind the first place Atlanta Capitals in the South Division. Next games are be Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28 at NYTEX Sports Centre. Both days Texas will face off against Euless Jr. Stars and pucks will drop at 7:35 pm.
