Feb 20, 2017

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas won two games against the Euless Jr. Stars this past weekend.

Friday’s game came with a score 3-0 score and a Kyle Torgerson hat trick. Scoring two goals in the first three minutes of play and his third with less than two minutes to go in the third. The Brahmas put 33 more shots on goal against Stars goaltender, Nick Hart.  Hart just couldn’t stop Torgerson. Anthony D’ Aloisio was in net for the Brahmas with 18 saves for the shut out.

The Stars showed a little more fight in Saturday’s game. Tyler Myers was in net for the Brahmas with 31 saves. He allowed goals from Chase Deacon and William Rooney, both in the third. The Brahmas faced a different net minder, Maxwell Kerner, but had no issues. They struck three unanswered goals (Melker Kroon, Dakota Davis and Kyle Torgerson), before Nick Hart came to Kerner’s relief,  halfway through the second. Melter Kroon would swipe the fourth goal less than a minute into the third, the only goal Hart gave up. The Stars would respond with their two goals, but the Brahmas went home with the win.

The Brahmas are currently 31-8-1 and lead the South Division. Their next match up is against the College Station Spirit February 24 and 25 at NYTEX Sports Centre. Puck will drop at 7:35 pm on both nights.
