Brahmas – Stars Preview

Oct 5, 2016

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Texas Brahmas are 3-1-0 going in the weekend with a pair of games against the Euless Jr. Stars. The Brahmas lone loss of the season came against the Jr. Stars in the Brahmas home opener last month.

Head Coach Michael Hill gave insight on their game plan this time around. “Last time we played them, we were looking at the big picture and that caused us to neglect little details that are crucial to the game.” This time the team plans to stay in the moment and focused one shift at a time because discipline was an issue for the Brahmas in the teams last meeting.  Texas committed 38 penalty minutes and were down 3-0 after the first period.

The Brahmas responded with a weekend sweep against the College Station Spirit, scoring nine goals in the two-game series.

Coach Hill is excited and impressed about quickly the unity the team has evolved. We can expect this tight knit Brahmas group to stay true to the definition of ‘team’ throughout the weekend and the rest of the season.

The puck drops at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center. The Brahamas bring it home Friday at 7:35 pm. and admission to the home game is free.
